I tend to steer clear of sending you to links instead of actually writing out a daily exposition, but I have to tip my cap to a comedian who turned on a hostile crowd and didn’t let up. A few weeks ago, there was a large comedy festival in Philadelphia and it was several hours long. In typical Philadelphia fashion, a city that has booed Santa Claus in the past, they began booing each comic mercilessly, even if they were funny. Atlanta - Good For Now |

Anyone who knows me
understands how much I can miss Chicago at times, but as the years pass by with
my address not having the zip code start with 606--, memories start to fade as
Atlanta stays in the limelight. People
wonder what I’m still doing here in a place that doesn’t snow. While I don’t think I want to spend my entire
adult life here, the fact remains I have to tip my cap to this city for several
reasons.
First the drawbacks – the
lack of mass transit, the stifling heat from June to August, southern “culture”,
uncontrolled growth (i.e. subdivisions that don't account for local impact on roads and schools), horrific air quality, and a landlocked city hundreds of

Comedy
is so subjective, and in terms of movies, particularly favorites of some cause
others to wonder whether their friends’ tastes are parallel to theirs or on an
entirely different planet. Among guys in
my age group, there do tend to be some movies that are loved across the board –
Caddyshack, Stripes, National Lampoon’s Vacation, Animal House, Ferris Buehler,
and The Blues Brothers are a few examples where you rarely hear a guy in his
30’s say “That one stunk. I hated it.”
There
have been movies done in the last 15 years that are classics too, ...
