Once again, the free schwag that the medical office Megan works in caught my attention. This time, it was a delayed reaction since I had no idea what it was at first. She brought home a cute, cuddly stuffed animal for Ally from the pediatric office where she is serving her clinical time for grad school this semester. The animal appeared to be a crab/lobster/crustacean of some sort. In fact, at the time, I didn’t even know the animals were a promotional giveaway, as I didn’t see the tag on back. Look at the photos below and then see my answer below that.

Those cute, doe-eyed animals are actually LICE!!! Sure, they’re pink and not white, and they’re about 5,000 times their actual size, but when Megan told me what I was holding in my hand, I actually dropped it as though it were real lice. These animals are a promotional item for the product Ovide, which treats head lice. I should have known by the sinister eyebrows that these animals served an evil purpose. Blechhh.
