In the Wish I Had Thought Of It First department, two of the guys in my group did a funny thing that I inadvertently found out last week.  If there’s one aspect that I like about working where I am now, it’s the same sense of humor that the group I’m in shares.  Since we thankfully don’t have vending machines on our floor that would lead to impulse buying, we have a big bowl of peanuts.

So I had a mini-fistful of peanuts and as I opened up one, it didn’t have any nuts in it.  In place of the peanuts was a fortune from a fortune cookie!  The two guys, in lieu of fighting Friday evening traffic one day, stayed here and decided to convert 7 or 8 ordinary peanuts into fortune peanuts.  I wound up being the first one to be blessed with opening up one.

The fortune?  “Listen these next few days to your friends to get answers you seek.”  Of course the flip side of that contains lottery numbers, which I don’t recall fortunes having back when I was growing up.  I think that’s a relatively new phenomenon.  Anyway, if anyone wins anything with 17, 21, 23, 25, 27 and 32, you owe me a percentage.  You’re welcome.

I don’t know why my camera phone isn’t focusing today but here is a blurry photo of said object.

That is awesome -- I approve of the switch. How did they reattach the shells?

I think they used super glue in small amounts to surgically reattach the shells.

Happy Be-lated B-Day! Is 35 a milestone? Does anything big happen when you turn 35? Do you get more hair where there was no hair before?

Inquiring minds want to know!

Like I've said to others, my goal is to take More from society than what I have Given. If it takes me living to 95 to do that, then so be it. I might never see a penny of my Social Security but I'm taking Something, Anything, from the government before I kick the oxygen habit.

I maintain that these days (he has medical help right in the household!) James should expect to hit 105 years of age.

Hope you do, buddy!

He might have to use a more inclusionary name... Pale Blue Narrow Behind or something...? (Sounds like a Yankee, eh?)

Super glueing peanut shells in lieu of dealing with Atlanta traffic? Classic! Love it!
