I doubt Nordstrom’s is high on any guys’ list of stores to go to. Even though that might be, they moved up a notch in my opinion this week. I was at the mall on Monday and at each of their areas where there would normally be a display as you’re entering their store, they instead had the following sign.
I’m sure Richard Roeper would be proud. I think we all sound like a broken record at this time of year but I doubt things will change. Then again, Nordstrom DID swim upstream regarding this matter. Kudos to them.

Nordstrom Best retailer ever. |

| I love Nordie's - best retailer ever. I even worked there when I moved to San Francisco, but the only store in the Bay Area at the time was 35 miles south of the City. It was worth it, they are special to their employees and customers alike. James, it's the kind of place (although pricey!) men should like. They are happy to do the shopping for you and personally, I do not care for shopping - we're a match made in heaven. I was literally instructed in my training to go ahead and accept a toaster as a merchandise return if the customer was absolutely convinced they got it at Nordstrom.

They started as a family shoe store in Seattle with a guarantee they would have the shoe that would fit you - from AAA up. Fantastic mission and fantastic levels of inventory/shoe stocking - deep and wide. The best. (They used to be called Nordstrom Best.) Not cheap, but I usually buy sale items, that's just my special way. ;^)

One of my friends in Seattle is a chef/caretaker (macrobiotic diets with nutrition tables are easy peasy for her) worked for one of their families for a while - the gorgeous 'kitchen' garden even had Brussels sprouts growing, fruiting grape vines, it was an awesome place. |

| P.S. And James - please please ask if they can do *something* about the "Presidential Candidate" season - that needs some serious shortening as well. |

| Syl, I was thinking the same thing. We now are into the 2+ year campaigns which is tiring to all but the hardest hardcore citizens who are into voting. I'm waiting for the day a president takes office and announces his candidacy for re-election the same day. |

Only election day provides closure - no, no it doesn't. |

| The news cycle is broken with regards to the campaigning. It's all I can do to ignore the noise for another few months...I tell (other blogs - that's right I'm a participant in another blog - hee!) that I won't make up my mind because it's still far to early. I am attempting to keep an open mind, so far, so good. |

| Oh, well, I guess I'm a "hardest hardcore citizen." Guess that's why I moved to DC! Thank goodness for C-SPAN! |

| If you are in fact currently watching the ten or so participants and the debates in their entirety - you are the hardest of the hardcore. I am very much a follower of politics but this stuff now goes on tooooo damn long. Far too parsed out if you will. Far too expensive for the candidates and for general sustained level of interest. |
