Some camera pics from our trip to Tybee Island. Most of the good shots were on our camera so when I download those, I’ll post a link. I wish I had taken snapshots of a) the beached jellyfish we saw and b) the yellow-taped pool area after The Turd Incident.
Maybe I didn’t notice these the last time we went to Savannah (2001) but once you get past Macon and are headed to Savannah on Interstate 16, there are barriers on the entrances and exits for the southeastern leg headed towards the ocean. I’m assuming this is to close these entries when there is a mandatory evacuation and both sides of the highway are one way headed away from the coast.

An interesting road sign. Michael Guido School of Evangelism?!

A sunset view of our dinner area the first night out. The place looks deserted but they had just finished cleaning those tables off.

A view down a street just a block from the ocean. All the shops to the right are owned by the Chu dynasty, which I mentioned in an earlier post.
A sign that made me smile from a store on this same street.

A view of the main pier.

Our condo building, a half block from the beach (I'm taking the photo headed west). Our actual condo was inside, facing the turd-laced pool.

Outside dining at The Crab Shack. The best seasoned shrimp (unpeeled) I have ever had. Touristy but fun.

A view from the deck at The Crab Shack.

Same deck, different view.

Same deck, view to the left where they load/unload boats daily.

This is what greets you upon your entrance. There were maybe 25 of these critters in the pond. You could feed them snacks. Who knows if they’re kept humanely. Ally did get a kick out of watching the alligators eat.
