In the interest of eating healthier, I have mostly eliminated fast food from my diet.  I’m not claiming to have completely wiped it out, as the heroin they oh-so-subtly place in their burgers and fries makes my body crave it every few months or so.  Then I eat it, feel disgusted with myself and then coil into a shame spiral of loathing and self-disgust much like I would do when hungover in college.

Some of the guys at work the other week ate at a place called Roasters – not to be confused with Kenny Rogers Roasters.  Someone brought back a bag of their cornbread muffins.  By the time they got back to work, the bag was completely soaked through with grease/fat/lard.  The only way to make a messier bag would have been one that held a Philly cheese steak or an Italian beef sandwich.

Now, while that might be gross in and of itself to avoid a fatty place like that, it was the aftermath that seemed the grossest of all.  Sometimes unclaimed food in the general area goes untouched for a few days before being tossed.  A full three days later, I ventured my hand into the bag to see how stale the muffins were.  Boy, was I in for a surprise.  The muffins and rolls were still squishy!  BLECHHH!  This immediately reminded me of a bonus scene on the Supersize Me DVD where Morgan Spurlock did an experiment to see how certain foods decomposed.  After seeing this scene if you haven't already, you'll cut down on your french fry consumption at least a bit.

I’m still shuddering at the thought that I periodically put stuff like that in my body.

Darn - from the title, I thought this was going to be a bigraphical blog about Erich. I'm disappointed....<br><br>(Yes, this is payback for the moustache comment from the other day)

Oh sure, you shave the 'stache and my cutting remark doesn't apply, but me? I keep getting fatter and yours is ever the more relevant....that's not fair! Don't sound too disappointed or people will begin to think that you are a chubby chaser!

Shhhhh you guys, nuttin' wrong with either a mustache or a chub (hahahaaaa - you know I'm right)! ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Here's the real problem as I see it from the land of the free, James (that's California - hee): When you have this sort of feeling, "..and then coil into a shame spiral of loathing and self-disgust..." just shake it off as you should! This is the New World. Shame?! Don't be ashamed of the stupid choices you have made, they're part of who you are. Accept and move on because love is acceptance. Plus your stupid choices gave others a new reason to love you in their own fratty way - with an overly long memory (if they'd bug you for eating you for a mess load of fries once every few months, I'll kick their ass myself - but you have to bring it to me). If you don't indulge yourself once in a while - oh, I don't know, just do it. Think of the how things were in the 70s or something. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, May I suggest, keep on 'doing it' on occasion when you are driven to by your body or your mind and then simply work/walk it off and GUT UP. Shame is for looosers, don't succumb. <grin>

You are a little skewed on your thinking about Roasters......why it says right on their website that the food is "healthy dining and comfort food".<br>How can you pass on that?
