More stories to follow.  I figured I could at least get these out there so you can start associating some of the places I mentioned yesterday.

Play the slideshow.  A lot of the pictures were taken in the car so the resolution isn't the greatest but I wanted to give you an idea of just how many beautiful vistas we were seeing even in between making many stops to get out and gape.  And yes, it was the passenger taking those car pictures, not the driver!!!

Absolutely fabulous pictures!! I'm so glad you guys enjoyed your time there. Loved the singing syrup! And how did you not give in to the dogs sad eyes!! lol

Not caving into the dog's eyes was definitely a challenge. They were pros.

Beautiful pix! Jason's Dad & I are going on a fall foliage cruise next week -- Philly to Halifax & back. Hope the scenery is as good. BTW, what do you know about Samuel Bemis of the Notchland Inn? Jason's Dad used to work for the Bemis Corp., and I wonder if ol' Sam is any relation.

Ahh, New England foliage...the colors, baby! Kinda makes you want to be up there a lot more, breathing clean air, and not in HOTlanta....

Gorgeous. Personally, I really like the creek and river shots that show the broken seamed and cracked rocks - such a better feel for being there. Revealed rocks and substrata mean a lot to my photos eyes. The smooth ones are cool, but the fast-flowing or rapids area are the best for me. And with the other shots I can now see -in my mind's eye- the creeks/rivers flowing along the valleys. Thank you James.
