I'm amused at the continuation of comments on the blog but I can assure you that I truly did end my contributions to it with the last post. If you're curious as to what I'm doing, join Facebook (and/or Twitter) and watch me try to summarize my thoughts in a very-restraining 140-character limit (as per Twitter's limitations).

Re: Happy Holidays By Deanna on 12/30/2008 6:22 PM
Erich - definitely under the 140 character limit! And thought provoking.

Re: Happy Holidays By TSAC on 12/30/2008 10:59 PM

New Year's resolution: quit checking this dead blog. Sh*t! Blew that one. Sigh. If missing James is wrong, I don't want to be right...

How about a weekly post so we can gather around and mock each other with more regularity again.

Twitter Bites.

Re: Happy Holidays By Meatball on 1/15/2009 11:00 AM
Must keep commenting ... must keep commenting. James is taking out his distaste for southerners on his twitterblog again. That NEVER gets old. I don't know if I'm considered a southerner or not ... on one hand I've lived over half my life in Georgia. On the other hand, my first name is "Gino". It's perplexing.
Happy New Year By Syl on 1/15/2009 11:25 AM
I attended my first hockey game ever on Tuesday night - Sharks 7, Lightning 1.

Re: Happy Holidays By Erich on 1/15/2009 2:43 PM
I've eaten your pizza, thanx Papa Gino!

Re: Happy Holidays By James on 1/15/2009 2:48 PM
Gino, you lived in Michigan and your dad lives in Greenland. You get a pass. :) Syl, did you enjoy the game, even though it was a drubbing of a bad team?

Re: Happy Holidays By Deanna on 1/16/2009 11:54 AM
Whew. So glad there are comments on here today! I keep checking and checking........

Re: Happy Holidays By Meatball on 1/16/2009 12:41 PM
I hyperventilated a bit ... earlier today when I couldn't reach the site.

Re: Happy Holidays By Deanna on 1/16/2009 1:31 PM
Meatball, how tragic!!!! I'm glad you're ok.

Happy New Year! By Syl on 1/17/2009 4:13 PM
I loved the game, everyone reading that is not James. (Hi James.) I have already responded separately..at length if you can imagine that. But after all, I was telling a story not venting awaaaaay. :^) [br br]

26th

Re: Happy Holidays By JD on 1/20/2009 10:02 PM
OBAMA!!!!!!!!

Re: Happy Holidays By Deanna on 1/21/2009 10:38 AM
WOO HOO to that JD!!!!

Re: Happy Start By Syl on 1/23/2009 10:11 AM
28th. I'm much happier just hearing the word nuclear pronounced properly by our Commander in Chief. Without getting all political here, day one seemed like a darned good day to me. (Hmmmm phone calls to Israel, Egypt, Jordan...open Presidential records once again, gee. Restoring the idea that elected public officials serve *us* and it is a privilege to do so - thank you Mr. President! And I suppose there won't be any private -ignore these!- meetings to set national energy policy with a few oil and gas men from back home. Good.)

Re: Happy Holidays By KB's on 1/26/2009 12:54 PM
Yup!!!! Go OBAMA. He will actually use diplomacy, supports science, and he actually thinks and talks clearly. Very refreshing...

Re: Happy Holidays By Deanna on 1/26/2009 1:08 PM
We've got Obama on one side and Blajojevich on the other! Has Blago completely lost his marbles or what!?! Larry King Live should be interesting tonight.

Happy State - Denial By Syl on 1/27/2009 9:48 AM
As long as he hangs on he is Governor -- after that...well, he doesn't like to think about after that.

Re: Happy Holidays By KB's on 1/27/2009 1:38 PM
In a weird way, I wish he would take all his money and escape the country. Of course, he would have to cut his hair and try to fit in with the locals in a place without newspapers or TV.

Re: Happy Holidays By TSAC on 1/28/2009 8:34 PM
I hate when the talk turns to politics......while I too want us to go more GREEN........what do you say to a Treasury Secretary that "forgot" to pay his $38,000 in taxes? Please! I just hope we don't let our guard down.

Re: Happy Holidays By Erich on 1/29/2009 2:18 PM
What's even better is it only took Obama 8 days to go back on his campaign promise to cut all of the pork from the "Stimulus" package. $800 Million and it's earmarked for things like the Endowment for the arts, buying $600 Million in government cars, and global warming surveys. Some government wonks are claiming the money will provide a return of 1.5 back on every dollar spent, but others say it will only be 0.88 on the dollar. Can you say "rewarding the people who donated to my election?" I heard another thing today on the radio, Mrs. Obama's position at some Chicago Hospital was created especially for her and when he became a senator, they increased the salary from $121K to over $300K and then when she recently stepped down, they eliminated the position as unnecessary. Must be nice....

Re: not so Happy By sl on 1/31/2009 9:53 PM
Thread killer(s).

Re: Happy Holidays By KB's on 2/2/2009 2:26 PM
Why don't I start this thread on a different direction. I call it my own personal "recession buster". AKA shameful pitch. Anyone out there in internet land want really cool electronics for the home? I am talking about home theater, music through in-wall/in-ceiling speakers in multiple rooms, video sources sent to all of your TV's, easy to use custom remote programming and much, much more. Check out my website: www.kbs-electronics.com

Or any out-of-work blogmates that want to sell some systems on a significant commission only basis??

Re: Happy Holidays By Erich on 2/5/2009 2:20 PM
Damn it Brehm - I was hoping to post response #37 on my 37th birthday, now you've gone and ruined it like a Grasslander - thanks dick! ;)

Re: Happy Holidays By James on 2/5/2009 2:23 PM
"Like a Grasslander" - AWESOME inside reference! LOL

Re: Happy Birthday By Syl on 2/6/2009 10:45 AM
(Thanks though KB, for saving the thread - we may not get another any time soon...) Happy belated birthday, Erich!

Re: Happy Holidays By KB's on 2/6/2009 1:36 PM
Grasslander :):):) I don't think I have heard that one!

Re: Happy Holidays By TSAC on 2/9/2009 9:33 PM
I live to keep the thread alive. Who's with me??????

Happy renewal By Syl on 2/13/2009 11:00 AM
