Yesterday
was the day I became undiplomatic towards my wanker neighbor who boned me over
with the painting company who he’s in cahoots with (see yesterday's blog). Now that I know the job won’t get done, I’ve
decided to let him know how crappy he was to me. His response was no surprise to me.
Prior to me posting his crappy reply on our Yahoo message board for our townhome association, I wrote to him in anger.
Dean,
the color doesn't match what it was originally when I bought the place. Bottom
line. This is crap service by Superior
and an even crappier attitude by you. It's not the color it's supposed to be
and you know it. Now that you've pissed me off, I will be calling Superior today.
He
then replies and his true colors show up.
do
what you want, but I am not going to take your ignorant attitude...and
personally can't believe your lack of appreciation and hope some day you are
able to acknowledge what you rec'd for what was paid. All the stucco
work was painted the same and that is what Superior was instructed to do.
Of
course, since he promised to do what I had asked months ago, I couldn’t let his
unfactual comment go without a reply. He has the gall to say I should be thankful for an unfinished job. I'll hand it to him - he's either utterly clueless or has a huge set of balls (figuratively) on him. I
decided to simply cut and paste an email he had given me earlier.
You
instructed them wrongly. My house doesn't look like it did before.
Here is an email from you earlier. Obviously you don't keep your
word. I'm done with you. Go screw other clients. Hopefully
your business doesn't go under with this crappy service.
James,
I noticed Superior has not taken
care of the color change on the retaining wall at your front door, I will pick
up the paint and take care of it this week. I thought they would be by, I
agreed with Superior
to take care of the job as a favor to be returned to me. I WILL have it
done this week.
My apologies,
Dean
I
really hope this guy’s company goes under (DFS Consulting) but I doubt it. There are plenty of suckers out there and
this guy gives all contractors a bad name.
I think I’d be less agitated about it were he not my neighbor, but he
obviously didn’t have our homeowners association’s best interests at
heart. I find out from other neighbors
that this is his standard modus operandi when he was partly involved in the
construction of this subdivision 6 years ago.
Obviously I would never have given him final payment but I (and other
homeowners) didn’t want to put him in a (self-inflicted, mind you) financial
bind since he was paying the painting company.
Karma
can be a bitch though, and I hope it strikes him down soon.
